METVETs partners KICK-OFF meeting in Athens

Seven partners, coming from four EU countries active in the fields of green sector training, had their first meeting at Sivitanidios School of Trades & Vocations premises in Athens. All partners are active in fields of continuous VET Metal Constructions Technicians and have strong regional and European cooperation networking activity. They have already successfully developed various projects, always with the aim of upgrading the skills of young people or adults in order to enhance their employability.
 
The METVET project is implemented under the Erasmus + KA3 – Support for Policy Reform for designing and delivering Joint Qualifications in Vocational Education and Training. It has a two-year duration and is co-financed by the European Commission. 
 
The project specifically aims at one hand designing, for Aluminum & Metal Constructions technicians and specifically the delivering of:
  • a professional (qualification) profile,
  • a core curriculum (EQF 5),
  • a corresponding VET program, including innovative teaching methods and
  • a qualification standard (according to ISO/IEC17024 and ECVET) for evaluation and certification.
